Thailand should enact a law specifically targeting vapes, Deputy Minister of Public Health Thanakrit Jitareerat told the Office of the National Health Commission on August 1, The Taiger reported.

The minister said Thailand has been unable to stop the spread of vapes because various agencies have independently implemented measures under different laws.

“The measures we have introduced so far have proven ineffective, so a specific law on the matter must be drafted as soon as possible, describing vapes as a serious threat to society,” Jitareerat said.

Banjerd Singkaneti, director of the Office of the National Health Commission, countered that the government should improve existing laws to provide clearer guidelines for authorities.

“In the long run, the law should clearly prohibit the possession of vapes so that the police have no excuse not to take legal action,” Banjerd said.

The Office of the Consumer Protection Commission seized 100,000 illegal vapes in 2023, up from 27,000 in 2020.

In the discussion of vape regulations in Thailand, calls for targeted vape laws have become the focus of public attention. According to The Taiger, Thanakrit Jitareerat, Deputy Minister of Public Health of Thailand, said at the Office of the National Health Commission that Thailand needs a law specifically targeting vapes to deal with the spread and impact of vapes in society.

Veehoo vape Company also regards this proposal as an important topic of discussion. As a company committed to providing safe and compliant products, Veehoo vape has been paying attention to vape regulations and trends around the world to ensure the legality and safety of products.

Thai government departments and relevant agencies have different opinions on the issue of vapes. One side believes that a special law should be enacted immediately, while the other side advocates improving existing laws to provide clearer guidance. In this context, Veehoo vape calls on the government and relevant departments to balance the interests of all parties when formulating vape regulations to ensure that the vape market can be effectively managed while protecting the rights and health of consumers.

The Office of the Consumer Protection Committee has seized a large number of illegal vapes in past investigations, and the growth of this number highlights the urgency of regulating the vape market. Veehoo vape will continue to actively comply with the laws and regulations of various countries to ensure the legality and quality of its products, while supporting government departments to strengthen supervision of the vape market and protect the rights and health of consumers.

In this challenging and changing vape regulatory environment, Veehoo vape will continue to be committed to providing products that meet standards, working with relevant agencies to promote the healthy development of the vape market, and provide consumers with more reliable choices.
